About NorthLake

NorthLake is a life-giving church that helps people connect with God, make friends, and become the best version of themselves! We believe church should be an experience with engaging music and Bible-based messages. We also believe in the importance of communicating our faith to the next generation, so we offer fun, interactive programs for kids and students.

Makenna began serving as the student ministry leader in summer, 2020. She loves building relationships with the students. Each week, she wants to build a connection with each student that walks through the doors, not just as a leader, but as a friend. Daily, she strives to be an example of God’s love and boldness to students and to show them how they can reach their friends by being like Jesus.

We Believe in...

1

CHRIST'S TRANSFORMING LOVE

God sent his Son Jesus into the world to save us from our sin. He loves you just the way you are, but he also loves you enough not to let you stay that way! With Christ in your life, you begin a life-long journey to continually become more like him, and in so doing, you become the best version of yourself.

2

THE POWER OF CONNECTION

We were created to be in relationship with God and each other. When we connect with Jesus, he transforms us and our relationships. We become better husbands, wives, family members, and friends. The church is built for relationships and we love helping people make great connections that turn into life-long friends.

3

THE BIBLE AS OUR GUIDEBOOK TO LIFE

Proverbs 3:5,6 says, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and light for my path.” The Bible is the story of God and his interaction with people. It tells of God’s plan to save people from their sin by sending his Son, Jesus, to die for us. The Bible also reveals how we can have a personal relationship with Jesus that transforms us, fills us with purpose, and leads us to eternal life.

4

ENGAGING IN JESUS' RESCUE MISSION

Jesus is the great rescuer who came to earth to rescue people from slavery to sin. He came to bring freedom from life-controlling addictions, past hurts, and self-absorbed lifestyles. When we achieve freedom in Christ, he allows us to participate in his rescue mission to bring freedom to others. We receive the opportunity to truly make a difference in our world.
