Northlake Church has become a second home for us. The community here is amazing! They have been there for my family through a lot of ups and downs, and that truly means the world to me. My girls absolutely LOVE the children's church and youth group. Northlake has truly been a Godsend for my family and we are so blessed to call it our church home!
My wife and I have attended Northlake going on seven years. We have grown spiritually and have made lifelong friends. If you’re looking for a church that has a loving congregation, I’d recommend NorthLake.
Where are you located?
NorthLake is located at 500 SE Everett Rd, Camas, WA 98607. We love being a church that serves Camas, Washougal, and the greater Vancouver area.
What are the time and length of services?
On Sundays, our coffee bar opens at 9:15 am. The Sunday service begins at 10 am. The online service does not include the music and begins at 10:25 am. The service usually ends between 11:00 and 11:10 am.
Kids love NorthLake! We offer beautifully-themed environments, engaging programs, and caring staff. Our kids’ rooms open about 9:45 am. Kids from birth – 4 year-olds have a special room for them in which they receive loving childcare with plenty of play time. Children 5 years – 5th grade have a blast as they learn about Jesus and connect with each other through singing, videos, teaching, crafts, and games. Students in middle school and high school attend the music portion of the main service and then have the option to go to a fun, relevant class especially for them.
What does a typical service look like?
The service typically opens with about 20-25 minutes of music. Many people sing along with the words that are on the screen and worship God during this time. There are some brief announcements followed by a message from our pastor that usually lasts about 30 minutes. The messages are from the Bible and always include application points that make them relevant for everyday life. They often include video clips or other engaging elements. People also receive an outline with the key points of the message when they arrive. The service ends with a prayer from the pastor.
Do I have to dress up?
Most people dress very casually. The lead pastor often wears jeans. Do you like wearing shorts when the weather gets warmer? No problem. We won’t judge you!
What's the culture like?
The culture of NorthLake is positive and empowering. We consider ourselves to be fellow travelers on the journey to become more like Jesus. We recognize that there are no perfect people and that we are all in need of God’s grace. We believe God loves you just as you are, but he also loves you enough that he doesn’t want you to stay that way! We are excited to become the best version of ourselves with Jesus’ help.
How can I get involved in serving?
There are many opportunities to serve at NorthLake. After you have attended for a time and feel like NorthLake is your church, we encourage you to talk to a pastor or attend a welcome lunch to discover opportunities for service.
